The Odom’s Mill
Community Garage Sale is coming up Saturday, October 10,
2008 from 8:00am until Noon. Each and every home is
invited to participate.
The Odom’s Mill
Community Association annual elections are coming up
December 3, 2009, please consider running for one of the
open Director positions. Call Kimberly Hamm at May
Management for information. Volunteers are also needed
for committee vacancies.

is posted there, in addition to other items of notice.
Check it out! This edition of the newsletter is being
hand delivered in order to increase awareness of our
website.
Items of interest:

Please obey all traffic signs within
Odom’s Mill; the safety of the residents is paramount
and especially with school back in session. We all need
to be extra careful, stop at all stop signs and drive
within the posted speed limit of 25mph.

Our lake is being treated regularly for
toxic algae bloom, however we can help by limiting the
runoff of lawn fertilizers and grass clippings into our
storm system. The strict use of time-release fertilizer
is also essential to controlling the algae.

The issue of the Mill Stream cul-de-sac,
as a parking and child drop off point for the local
elementary and middle school, has been brought before
the Board both, pro and con. The Board is looking into a
solution that both protects this valuable community
asset and provides safety for the residents along Mill
Stream. The primary issue is speeding down Mill Stream
and unattended vehicles parked in the cul-de-sac area.
Until a solution is reached, please be considerate of
the property of other residents and do not block access
to property in this area.

A special thanks to the residents that
attend and offer comments at the monthly Board meetings.
All residents are encouraged to attend. Better yet, get
in involved in one of the various committees that
provide the Board with guidance and solutions.
